Bradley Murchison, a member of the Louisiana Chemical Association, understands the significance of the growth of the chemical industry, particularly along the Mississippi River. The Louisiana chemical industry is an important component of Louisiana’s economy and is critical to Louisiana’s future. We have experience representing a wide variety of companies that produce chemicals and petrochemicals in transactional matters as well as in litigation.
Representation of a major corporation where we provided legal oversight of environmental remediation and claims against an industrial neighbor which stored and shipped chemicals for the oil and gas industry when those chemicals ignited, causing an extreme explosion and subsequent fire. Provided on-site representation for several days, working with the management team as it worked with evacuated workers, compromised air and water quality, destroyed buildings and property, law enforcement, the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, insurance adjusters, and related entities.
Representation of a major international corporation in the development of a chemical plant including acquisition of property, working with The Board of Commerce and Industry, construction agreements, natural gas procurement and transportation agreements, and general legal advice necessary to new businesses in Louisiana.
