Stephen C. Fortson currently serves as co-managing member of the firm. Stephen represents companies engaged in all sectors of the oil, gas, and petrochemical industry, banks and other financial institutions, and other business clients in connection with transactional issues, complex business litigation, and other business matters commonly encountered by companies. He has extensive experience in negotiating large scale commercial transactions, including industrial development and construction contracts, joint venture agreements, consulting and professional services agreements, master service agreements, purchase and sale agreements, and commercial leases. Stephen also assists clients with corporate formations, reorganizations and dissolutions, and labor and employment matters. He also commonly represents clients in oil and gas disputes, employment disputes, and other complex business matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Stephen served as a law clerk to U.S. District Judge, Tom Stagg, and to First Judicial District Judge, Jeanette G. Garrett.
